I have no patience. I know, I know. It’s hard to believe, but I have no patience what-so-ever.
Husband’s putting the finishing touches on his new computer so he can put the finishing touches on his old one to give to me, and I can’t wait for it to be done. But before I can use it, I have to wait for my new computer desk to arrive.
When I ordered it on the 15th, estimated delivery date was between 3/21 and 4/5 (though why it could possibly take three weeks for something that’s not on back order, I have no idea). When I got my shipping confirmation from FedEx, it says 3/21 and on time. Now, I’m one of those people that like to follow along with a package that’s coming to me if its something that I’m really, really looking forward to. (And I am really, really looking forward to my new desk.) So, of course, I see that it’s left the warehouse on the 15th and left Orlando on the 16th. Yay! But yesterday, while checking FedEx, it had “Next update on March 17”
Yesterday was March 17th. No update. I F5’d the page several times throughout the day, hoping to find out where my desk was and it still had the same message.
Today, that message is gone, but there wasn’t any update yesterday. 🙁 It still says “Left Orlando March 16”
See, no patience.
There’s a reason I’m super excited about this desk. #1 is really that it will support my new computer… but next is that I will have so much more room. Not only will I not have to waste space on the computer itself since my current computer is a giant laptop, I will be able to attach my “new” (from husband) dual monitor stand, I will have a crafting space for my crafting and it will be awesomeness.
I’d have to say that even though the timing of building the new wall in the house was a bit of a pain, it has probably been one of the best things to happen to me (for me?) because I have ended up with a wonderful space that is mine. I have been able to decorate it how I want to. And I am working towards being able to organize it so that it works for me, no matter what I’m doing.
So, I am super excited to get my new desk and then set up my new computer. Which is why I have such little patience. ^_^
(Goes back to FedEx to F5 even though it’s Sunday and they’re not likely moving it anywhere anyway…)
